Blog #2

1. It looks like alot of desert but when you zoom out you see a very green and fertile area. This area is very dense with SAND. Until you zoom out it seems that you are just in a desert but then you see a very fertile area and Palm Springs.

2. The climate area looks very hot and very dry because of all the desert area. But when you see all the grass it seems that they aren't using the water that they do have very wisely because they're using it all to keep the golf course looking good.

3. The 2 Locations are 18.6 miles apart.

4. What seems to be going on here is that all of the water is going to the preservation and well keeping of the golf course. But the golf course does look to be in good health.

5. It seems like we have focused our recources on the golf course because it looks like we have planted the grass and are using our water to keep it from drying up and looking like the rest of the area.

6. It looks to be a very dry area near Palm Desert in southern California. By its situational position it would only make sense that it would be a dryer climate than say Boone, NC. It is farther south and very very hot.

Me

My name is Jake Houck and I am a senior at Watauga High School. Some of my hobbies include sports, mainly football and basketball, and I really like studying about history. My summer was mainly work filled, which wasn't as great as it sounds. I really didn't go anywhere except from my mom's house to my dad's house. Some of my goals for this year include passing all of my classes, and pretty much just having a great senior year. What I'm hoping for college is to go to Appalachian or NC State but I will probably just be going to Caldwell, but I'm ok with that. I'm hoping for a great year this year and see you in class.
