2. The climate area looks very hot and very dry because of all the desert area. But when you see all the grass it seems that they aren't using the water that they do have very wisely because they're using it all to keep the golf course looking good.
3. The 2 Locations are 18.6 miles apart.
4. What seems to be going on here is that all of the water is going to the preservation and well keeping of the golf course. But the golf course does look to be in good health.
5. It seems like we have focused our recources on the golf course because it looks like we have planted the grass and are using our water to keep it from drying up and looking like the rest of the area.
6. It looks to be a very dry area near Palm Desert in southern California. By its situational position it would only make sense that it would be a dryer climate than say Boone, NC. It is farther south and very very hot.

Jake, great observations using google earth and/or map. It seems to me that the residents of California enjoy their golf courses!
